Safety Precautions for Pool Opening

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way we think about normal activities and gatherings in general. Every family has to decide what works best for them and their risk level.

In accordance with the CDC recommendations and after extensive conversations with our local health department, we are working toward a model that will allow us to open safely and provide excellent service to our members.

Here are the steps we are taking upon opening for the 2020 season:

  • Limit number of family memberships
  • Limit pool occupancy to half bather load (approx. 115)
  • Increase sanitization protocols and reduce touch points
  • Space tables and chairs to promote physical distancing
  • Install window shields at transaction points
  • Perform daily health screenings for employees
  • Offer low risk swim day/time for adults only

Additional steps will be taken for a brief period at the start of the season. These steps include restricting guest access and reducing some food options in the concession. We will lift restrictions once we are confident that we are serving all of our members.

Even though we will cap the total number of family memberships to avoid overcrowding, we may still need to limit the hours or length of time your family can visit on high traffic days.

We will continue to offer a low risk swim time for adults only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-9 p.m. We will also provide additional cleaning products and hand sanitizer for your use.

We ask that members respect others and observe physical distancing of 6 feet and avoid gathering in large groups. Please stay home if you are not feeling well.

Our current situation may change as more businesses and activities re-open, therefore we may lift, change or impose restrictions throughout the season as we deem necessary. The safety of our members and staff are our upmost importance, followed closely by customer satisfaction.

We understand that our protocols may not meet every families’ needs. If you chose not to swim with us this year, we hope you’ll consider joining us again next year.
