Maintenance Person Needed at Sungate Pool

Sungate Neighbors, Inc. is looking for a part time employee or independent contractor who would be able to work 6-10 hours a week to assist in the maintenance of the pool and facilities.

The job responsibilities will include basic clean-up such as emptying trash, blowing off the deck and sidewalk, power washing slides and deck, touch-up painting, repairing lawn sprinklers and pool furniture, minor plumbing repairs, and minor electrical tasks such as replacing light fixtures.

The successful candidate is expected to become familiar with the pool pumps and filters. The candidate should be able to assist in winterizing/de-winterizing the pool and building, as well as perform minor repairs of pool equipment.

This position is mostly seasonal, starting in early May before the pool opens until after the pool closes in September. However, larger projects beyond the regular season may arise.

While our current lawn contractor takes care of the mowing and edging, the successful candidate may also be asked to assist with planting/weeding flower beds inside the pool and around the building.

This position reports to the pool manager. Job tasks will be assigned weekly, a list of items to be done will be left for the employee to accomplish on Monday when the pool is closed. The employee may also be asked to work at other times as needed.
