Independence Day at Sungate Pool

After much thought and consideration, Sungate Pool has decided to scale back plans for the 4th of July.

Due to increasing cases of Covid-19 in Tulsa and the large crowds that typically attend our annual Independence Day celebration, we have decided to eliminate pool activities this year. 

In addition to eliminating swim races and games, we also ask that members try to limit the number of guests to two per family membership. 

We feel these steps will help reduce overall attendance so that physical distancing can be maintained throughout the day.

Bike Decorating Contest & Parade
We will still have the bike decorating contest at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, followed by a neighborhood parade. 

Pool Hours
Sungate Pool will open at 10 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 4. We will be open normal operating hours on Sunday, July 5.

Food Specials
While we won’t be able to cook up our traditional menu, we will still grill hotdogs. Our staff will also make cotton candy in advance for the little ones. Hotdogs and cotton candy will be available on Sunday while supplies last. 

We still expect to be busy during the holiday weekend, please check our website for up-to-date pool occupancy numbers.
