Pool Closures Due to Power Outage

UPDATE: Saturday, June 24 at 6:45 p.m.

GREAT NEWS! Our power is back! Come for a quick swim TONIGHT. We will open 7 – 9 p.m. Saturday, June 24.

We will open normal hours tomorrow, SUNDAY, JUNE 25.

UPDATE: Friday, June 23 at 11:30 p.m.

Parts of Sungate now have electricity, but SUNGATE POOL REMAINS WITHOUT POWER, and REMAINS CLOSED.

We will open as soon as we possible can. We are at the mercy of the workers and the extent of the damage that needs to be repaired. Please keep checking back.

UPDATE: Thursday, June 22 at 11:00 p.m.

Sungate is still without power! As of right now, WE WILL REMAIN CLOSED FOR FRIDAY, JUNE 23.

We will post an update by noon if we can open at all tomorrow evening.

UPDATE: Wednesday, June 21 at 9:30 p.m.

Another day without power, another day not open. Sorry, we remain closed for Thursday.

The trees have been cleared from the parking lot and we are doing all we can to be ready once the power is back on. Thank you for your patience and support.

UPDATE: Tuesday, June 20 at 9 p.m.

We are so sorry that we have to be CLOSED again tomorrow, JUNE 21.

We’ve had a lot of voicemail messages asking if we are open. Unfortunately, we can’t change our outgoing message to reflect the closure because the power is out.

UPDATE: Monday, June 19 at 8 p.m.

SUNGATE POOL REMAINS CLOSED for Tuesday, June 20.

We still have a lot of clean up to do but we are fortunate that we only had some minor damage to a couple shade structures and our trees out front. Unfortunately, we can not reopen until we have power to run the pumps and liquid chlorinator. We are being told that it could be as late as Saturday before the power is back on. We appreciate your patience during this recovery effort. Check on Facebook page and webpage for updates.

UPDATE: Monday, June 19 at 6 p.m.

Swim Lessons are canceled Tuesday & we will aim for Wednesday.

Every day we will announce any cancellation for the next day. We will resume lessons when power is restored.

UPDATE: Sunday, June 18 at 3 p.m.

We will be closed until power is restored.
