Sungate

Annual 4th of July Party

The Sungate Pool is gearing up for its annual 4th of July Party.  Many details go into the planning of this neighborhood favorite. The pool manager and staff work really hard to make the annual event a huge splash.

This long running tradition includes a bike/wagon decorating contest at 9:30 a.m., followed by a fire engine led parade. Then tour the fire engine and talk with firefighters while you want for the pool to open at 10:00 a.m.

Seating is first come first serve, but you are welcome to bring your own chair.

noodle-races-pool-600x600Enjoy pool races and contests all day. A lunch of hot dogs, corn on the cob and cotton candy will be available for purchase for $1 each, as well as the normal fare at the concession window. Food tickets must be purchased at the front gate for specialty food items. Remember to bring small bills to help staff make change quickly.

After lunch, Sungate Neighbors Inc. board members will serve up free watermelon.

The pool closes at 5 p.m. so you have time to catch one of the many area firework displays. Bring your family and friends and join us for a day of pool activities, good food, and tons of fun.

Check out the rules and regulations regarding guests and other details before the big day.
