4th of July at Sungate
Event Update
Annie’s Tropical Sno will be selling sno cones from 1 to 3 p.m. for $3 or 3 tickets. We will also have hotdogs, grilled corn, bags of chips and bottled water for 1 ticket each. Tickets are required for all food outside of the concession.
Tickets are $1 and can be purchased with cash or cards at the ticket table. Annie’s Tropical Sno cones will accept cash or tickets and a portion of the proceeds go back to Sungate Pool!

The tradition continues with another great year of celebrating the 4th of July at Sungate! Join us for a fun day in honor of our nation’s independence.
We have a full schedule of pool races and games throughout the day. Enjoy delicious food specials and complimentary watermelon slices. The concession stand will also be open.
Food tickets must be purchased at the front gate for specialty food and treats. Remember to bring small bills to help staff make change quickly.
Show Pride with an American Flag
The countdown to Independence Day is on and that means fireworks, food, friends and flags. Fellow Sungate resident, Jodi Turner with Coldwell Banker, wants to help decorate Sungate for 4th of July. She is offering small American flags to be placed in yards around the neighborhood. If you have your own flags, please put those out in honor of our Independence Day!

Bike Decoration Contest and Parade
Help your kids decorate those bikes and wagons for the Most Festive Bike Contest. Judging begins at 9 a.m. in Sungate Park. The half mile children’s parade begins at 9:30 a.m. and wraps up in plenty of time before the pool opens at 10 a.m.
Parade Route
The parade route hasn’t changed. The map shows the route, starting from Sungate Park and walking West onto E 54th Street, North on 67th E Place to 53rd Place and stopping at the pool at 70th E Place.
Lounge Chair and Table Reservations
Reserve a table OR up to two (2) chairs per family membership for $5 per chair. Tables and chairs may only be reserved in-person at the front gate.
Only a percentage of all the deck chairs will be available to reserve. The remaining chairs will be available as first come, first served. Reserved chairs will only be held until 12 p.m., at which time reserved chairs will be released. Families may bring their own folding chairs.
Pool Hours
The Sungate Pool opens at 10 a.m. for a day of fun pool games, swim races and food specials. The pool closes at 5 p.m. so our families can enjoy area firework displays. Sungate will resume normal operating hours the following day.
