4th of July Celebration
Sungate celebrates Independence Day with the long-running tradition of bike decorating contest and neighborhood parade, followed by a full day of pool activities.
The bike/wagon decorating contest lineup starts at 9 a.m. followed by a fire engine led parade at 9:30 a.m. Tour the fire engine and talk with firefighters while you want for the pool to open at 10 a.m.
Skip the line! While some pool chairs are still first come, first serve, a portion of the chairs can be reserved for $5 each. Chair reservations are filling up fast, visit the pool office to reserve your chair today. Or just bring your own!
Enjoy pool races and games throughout the day, as well as delicious food special including hot dogs, grilled corn on the cob, cotton candy and more. Plus enjoy free watermelon served by the Sungate Neighbors Inc board of directors.
Food tickets must be purchased at the front gate for specialty food items. Remember to bring small bills to help staff make change quickly.
The pool closes at 5 p.m. so your family can enjoy area firework displays. Bring your family and friends and join us for a day of pool activities, good food, and tons of fun.
A Change to Pool Hours: The pool will be open Monday, July 3, from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. but will be closed on Wednesday, July 5 for maintenance and cleaning.
